Subject: Christmas Angel Telethon Meeting
Attendance: Summer Clemenson, Dale Chamberlain, Karen Gidderon, Dale M., Lonnie Knowles, Hal Palmer, Pat Palmer (Hal’s wife)
The meeting was brought to order by President Summer Clemenson at 6pm.
This committee was formed to start planning the 2nd Annual Christmas Angel Telethon.
Old Business: The committee went over some of the key positions that need to be filled at the Christmas Angel Telethon. Discussion was held and it was decided that greeters are important and we will check with the Salvation Army Advisory board for volunteers. there should be someone ringing the Salvation Army bell for the entire telethon. This year’s Telethon will be December 9th at 10am until December 10th at 10am.
New Business: The committee was very excited to have Lonnie Knowels volunteer to seek out major sponsors for the telethon. Karen and Summer will work on marketing via the web site and Summer has started to schedule musical groups to perform. People that would like to be interviewed will also be scheduled. Cal Dowd, advisory board member and owner of Prographx will be contacted to talk about a coin that will be left with major sponsors to keep our event at the top of their minds. We will discuss the cost of this coin at the next Christmas Angel Telethon on April 30, 2012.
Karen will follow up with Red Canoe. We would like to start the telethon with several major sponsors on board. We will start to really advertise this event in September. Hal will come up an excel spreadsheet to help us understand the cost of the event better so that we can come up with winning formulas that help us produce more lucrative results.
We are all very excited about this years telethon!
Next Meeting will be Monday, April 30, 2012 at The Longview Eagles at 5:30pm
