The Cowlitz Free Medical Clinic is for adults, 18 and older, who live and/or work in the Cowlitz County region and have no medical insurance. The clinic is open Wednesdays from 5:30 to 9 pm and is operated on a walk-in basis only. No appointment is necessary. Pre-registration starts at 5 pm.
Clinic services:
The Free Clinic does provide:
- Adult medical exams for urgent health care problems.
- Referral to primary care providers.
- Access to medications and prescription assistance programs.
- Access to lab and imaging services.
- Referral to medical specialists as needed.
- Referral to dental services.
- Access to community resources and service organizations.
- Enrollment for eligible clients in local, state and federally funded medical assistance programs.
The Free Clinic does not provide:
- Pediatric care.
- Prenatal care or care for pregnancy related problems.
- Chronic pain management.
- Immunizations/vaccinations except for seasonal flu vaccinations.
- Well adult exams.
- Occupational health exams.
- Drug testing.
- Severe trauma care.
- Emergency care (chest pain, breathing problems, severe pain, or fractures, etc.)
All services are offered in both Spanish & English and a telephone language line is available for other languages as needed.
Must live in Cowlitz County. Wednesdays 5 to 9 pm; walk-ins only.
