The meeting was called to order by President Summer Clemenson at 6:15pm.
Linda was asked to provide an invocation, she complied. We collected $29.00 in Happy Bucks! We discussed an e-mail from Lonnie Knowles. The email suggested that we charge our musical talent for the Christmas Angel Telethon. John Coleman suggested that we dismiss this idea.
A motion was made to dismiss this idea by John Coleman. Then the motion was seconded by John Hanna.
Action: the motion was voted on and passed. We will not charge our musical talent to participate at the Christmas Angel Telethon. An email will be sent to Lonnie Knowels with the committee’s decision.
Summer made a motion that we give each musical group three donation cards then ask them to pass them out to possible donors or give a notion themselves.
Tom Stebbins seconded this motion.
Action: The Motion to offer each musical group three donation cards was voted in. Each Musical or performing act will be sent three donation cards to share with others.
We will have the letterhead for Living Ministries printed by our next meeting on May 23rd. We have contacted Red Canoe Credit Union, Fibre Federal Credit Union and Heritage Bank. It was suggested that Mint Valley Federal Credit Union be added to our major telethon sponsor list.
Linda will look for a nice air coffee pot for us to use for meetings. We have currently been purchasing coffee from Red Leaf Organic Coffee. John Coleman will donate his old Coffee maker to us whenever his new pot comes.
We are selling tickets for the Cowlitz Black Bears. Currently Dale has sold 5 tickets, John has sold 5, and Summer has sold 1. Once we get a few more tickets sold we will purchase 25 more. Our special night at Story Field is Wednesday, August 08th!
We collected $40.00 from John Coleman and $20.00 from Summer.
A motion was made by Summer that Karen throw out the first ball on our night at the field. It was seconded by Dale Chamberlain.
Action: The motion was made that Karen throw out the first ball on August 08th at Story Field. The motion seconded and was voted on and passed. Karen will throw out the first ball on August 8th. That’s Exclaimatious!
Adam Haarstad’s volunteer hours are being taken care of at this time by helping a gentleman with motorcycle maintenance. We have nice forms for him to use to chronicle his services.
Linda’s Ladies Spring Tea brought in $250.00! Everyone had a great time and we all look forward having even more people next year. We had twenty people and Dale Chamberlain and Dale Waddell did a great job of serving all the ladies.
Stageworks Northwest just purchased the Old Movie theatre downtown. The theatre needs lots of renovation. They are currently looking for volunteers to help with construction. Dale Chamberlain and Dale Waddell will offer their services to Stageworks Northwest. Awesome!
John Hanna suggested we contact Tears of Joy Theater, in Clark County. They are a puppet company that helps children. Dale Waddell suggested contacting Tom Hutchenson about the annual Soccer Tournament. We are always looking for opportunities to walk with those organizations that are spreading positivity throughout the community while administering hope!
The meeting was adjourned at 7:15PM.
Next meeting will be Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 6pm at Life Works.
Respectfully Submitted,
