Living Ministries Power Meeting

Summer is taking notes in Jamie Holloway’s place. She has an appointment and can’t join us. Jacob and his family are doing can pick ups tonight and can’t be here.
This meeting was called to order by President Karen G Clemenson at 6:05 pm.
Christmas JOY Telethon
Planning meeting for tomorrow has been cancelled. Website got a facelift. Flyers have been designed by Exclaim Media Video & Marketing and are being printed at Copies Today Speedy Litho and will be available for pickup tomorrow. Summer has had a few inquiries following the email we sent out last week by Exclaim Media Video & Marketing.
Musical line up (main bands): Paul Mauer, Carl Wirkkala and the Ghost Town Boys and Claire Beck
Summer will write a request letter to Love, INC tomorrow, as Larry Russell requested.
Activities: Candy Cane Hunt, Stickers and treats to be given our randomly, Look for stars to win prizes, Santa, Pictures with Santa by Jen White Studios, Wishing Well – Penny for your Prayers and Praises. We want to be as hokey as possible. Still open to other ideas.

Helping the Helpers Benefit Concert
Usually takes place in January. We are moving that to February this year. We will meet with Paul Mauer and Barry Eisenhart about a date.
December Power Meeting (December 17, 2014)
Karen has cancelled this meeting.
Living Ministries Advisory Board Members
We would like to invite Linea Elken to join Living Ministries Advisory Board. After the meeting we will have her fill out the membership application. Jamie, Karen and Summer will have a closed meeting to vote her in.
Hearts For Homeless Report
Lynn didn’t report anything and is absent.
Canz 4 Toyz Report
Per Angie: Finalizing pickups and creating the list of children to buy gifts for. They are planning a Santa party. Nothing is in stone yet. They have a lot of family activities to keep up with too.
Finances
Summer didn’t get these reports done in time. Will share in our Closed Living Ministries Group when they are complete and add to the meeting minutes.
Holiday Magic Bazaar
Saturday November 22, 2014 from 9 am to 2 pm at the Kelso Senior Center. Address is 106 NW 8th in Kelso, Washington. Knotty Wares Yarn & Fiber Co-Op will be there. All proceeds from sales will benefit Christmas JOY Telethon.
Set up is Friday from 3 to 5 pm. A light lunch is available for only $3. Knotty Wares will donate an item for the raffle to benefit The Salvation Army.

Silver Cloud Special Cat Sanctuary
This is a group that Linea supports. What is special about this rescue is that only special needs cats are accepted: Seniors, Abuse, Chronically Ill, FIV and other special needs cats that are not adoptable. While there the cats get medical care. Every dollar donated make sure these animals have the best life.
There is a secret Facebook Group that people can join if they are invited. Please contact Linea Elken to be invited.
Prayer and Praises
- Lynn has a new job. Her family is still behind on some of their bills and their heat needs to be repaired.
- Karen loves her new job.
- Jamie is short on her rent but the owner of the apartment complex will work with her.
- Linea’s pain is under control but she has had some financial changes.
- Summer is seeing a doctor tomorrow re: anxiety.
- Lots of people have been calling Living Ministries looking for rent assistance and gas vouchers.
- We are still needing dollars to pay for costs of Christmas JOY Telethon.
- Summer’s mom is having emotional troubles.
- Linea’s friend, Peter, is suffering with respiratory distress and in ICU.
