New Business: Vote to change venue and date of Monthly Power Meetings
At 11:34 pm on January 9, 2012 Summer D. Clemenson opened the virtual meeting by posting:
We had what I consider one of the all time best meetings ever tonight. We had some fantastic guests that really brought some great ideas to the table as well as energy and I really feel like our committee members are truly unified more than ever!
One thing that was on the agenda that we didn’t get into because this meeting was not our normal 1 hour meeting and after 2 1/2 hours we just had to stop…was ideas about changing the venue of our monthly meetings. I have emailed Shannon McLain at Life Works about the possibility of using their community room for our meetings. This decision has not been made I just wanted to know if it was an option.
Also not only should we consider if a new venue would be better but another night may be good as Monday is not a good night for a dancing fool, and one of our newest committee members Tom J Stebbins (he currently gives dance instructions at Las Rocas on Monday nights if you wanted to have something new to do on Mondays…) Karen and I were thinking that Thursdays may be a better night because Tuesday and Wednesdays are normal church nights for people that do that kind of thing and no one wants to give up their Friday nights…We also might want to consider changing the time to 6…
All these details should be answered by all committee members before a decision is made.
We really need to focus on the St Patty’s Day Fling if we are going to pull this off. Hal Palmer pointed out that if we want to raise $5000 we really need to shoot for $10,000 and we really have to scramble to come up with some great plans to bring the people.
We have planned a planning meeting tomorrow at 1 pm at ZoJo Coffee. We can only go until 2:30 because Karen and I have to be on Boomer Plus Tuesday at AM 1400 KEDO from 3-4 pm…and have a meeting with a client directly after that. Consider yourself invited! Thank you for reading!

I vote for the 3rd Thursday…yes that would mean an extra meeting this month…at Life Works if it is available.

Clemenson updated: I was about to apply for us to be able to have our meetings at Life Works in Longview…and I realized I haven’t heard back on a day…Can I suggest that we move our meetings on Wednesday starting in March, unless we choose a Wednesday after our regular 2nd Monday meeting at The Electric Bean since I have already sent out emails inviting people to our regular meeting time.

On February 1, 2012 at 2:08 pm Summer D Clemenson updated the group via Facebook Group: Since we do have a quarum I am going to close this meeting. There is a consensus that we could meet at Life Works instead of The Electric Bean if our application is accepted. Wednesday works for everyone and on our application that should turned in by tomorrow I specified that we prefer the 4th Wed but the 2nd would work also. We will have our regular meeting on Feb 13 at The EB and I will update you as I learn more. Consider this meeting closed. Thank you.
