Old Business: Cowlitz County Auction House has offered us the opportunity to have a fund raiser auction on April 1, 2011. Cowlitz County Auction House meets at the Kelso Senior Center at 106 NW 8th Ave, Kelso, WA every Friday night. Our contact people are Jon and Christine Randall. This event was voted on and agreed to at our meeting on February 5, 2011.
New Business:

Hi Everyone!
You are getting this message because you have all expressed a desire to be part of or help Living Ministries.
So we have 3, 45 min spots for Friday night from 4-6:30 pm. Mark Walker will take the first one (I have never heard him but his wife is very excited!). We don’t have a sound system. Rochelle, Mark’s wife said they are bringing their speakers and amp…again I don’t know what that sounds like…It may sound sad, but I gave him the first spot in case he doesn’t sound great, the guys (Jeff and Chuck) that I know are good can finish up… 🙂
Mark and Rochelle are also Christians and will be playing Christian music on an electric guitar.
The Auction is at the Catlin Center/Kelso Senior Center…the building at the water park in Kelso. The viewing is from 4-6 and the auction will go from 6-8. The people that come are usually older, but I would like to see some young people there, partly so they can enjoy your music and also because I think the furniture that was donated will probably better fit younger people that are starting out.
We are working on getting some gift certificates from businesses, Knotty Wares is donating a blanket and hats and we have books and some desks, a love seat, a large TV and entertainment center…I don’t have pics but I am sure they are in great condition.
We will also have a clean sock drive and accept donations for travel packs for anyone that needs them now. I would like to give the donations from to  Attic Ministries…if you don’t mind. Living Ministries doesn’t have a storage unit yet…but we are going to talk to Ocean Beach Self Storage about what a great tax write off that would be if they would donate one and Attic Ministries and Love Overwhelming are welcome to share it once we have it.
If you have have any ideas about this event, I would love to hear them. Living Ministries’ strength will be the committee members that are willing to work together with any other non profit or organization or person that wants to help the homeless as best we can. If you would like to have signs at this event for AM and LO let me know and I will be glad to design them. I have sign holders for 8X10 and 5X7 signs. You will be welcome to hand out any business cards or brochures you have them. I have holders for brochures…business cards can be in pockets and handed out personally…If you want me to design something and you know I don’t have your art….please email it to me at summer@exclaimmedia.net.
I am also a committee member of Attic Ministries…so I think we will represent. Sonny and Leslee have been out of town and I am not sure when they get back but I hope they want to be part of this…
Currently we need a barrel or large container or trunk to collect donated items and we are allowed to have one jar for donations as well. I don’t think we can offer refreshments because the general public will be present and I am not sure if anyone there will have a food handler’s license. We also need people to help move furniture, load vehicles and be there to answer questions.
We only have 4 more days to pull this off. We need people to buy and things to auction and rally excitement.
Chuck told me about a prayer group that will meet at Evangel from 5-6 am every Thursday starting April 7 specifically for the needs of the homeless in Cowlitz County. I will try to be there every week and I hope that you will consider coming or at least give our cause some thought as you lie, warm in your bed.

I am in agreement. Attic does have a sound system. Not sure if I remember how to run it but I’m sure someone can figure it out. I think there are 2 mics and 2 speakers. Do you want to meet this week so we can make sure all ducks are in a row? Just let me know.
