Karen Gidderon opened the meeting at 11:46 am via phone call to Summer Clemenson.
New Business: She has made contact with the Cowlitz Black Bears Baseball Team and has been made known of fund raising opportunity. If we purchase 2 books of tickets to the games for a total cost of $60, we may sell them as we like. This fundraiser would accomplish 2 things: Bring in funds for Living Ministries and create more community awareness for both Living Ministries and The Cowlitz Black Bears.
At 11: 57 am Summer Clemenson sent out the following text message to Karen Gidderon, Leslee Huhtlala, Sonny Huhtala and Jeff Hamilton:
Karen has proposed that we alot $60 of Living Ministries funds to purchase tickets to The Black Bears to sell as a fund raiser. As committee members please give your vote now.
At 11:58 am the following text message was received by all parties listed above:
Summer votes yes.
At 11:59 am the following text message was sent to the group by Jeff Hamilton:
Yes!
At 11:59 am Summer Clemenson called Linda Haarstad at her home (Linda does not text message). She explained they were holding a virtual Living Ministries Meeting and then told Linda that Karen had been offered an opportunity to purchase 2 books of tickets for the Cowlitz Black Bears games for $60. We would be able to use the books as a fund raiser. After Summer asked Linda for her vote, Linda agreed with the idea and said, “Yes.”
At 12:04 pm the following text message was sent to the group by Karen Gidderon:
I would to vote yes! Kids. Baseball and us!! Yahoo!
At 12:18 pm the following text message was sent to the group by Leslee Huhtala:
Sounds good
At 2 pm the following text message was sent to the group by Sonny Huhtala:
What is The Black Bears?
At 2:01 pm Summer Clemenson sent the following text message:
The Cowlitz Black Bears are our baseball team. We can sell the tickets for as much as we can get for them. Even if we sell then for $5 each we would make the money back. Not only would this be an easy fundraiser but it would give The Bears some good publicity.
At 2:41 pm Sonny Huhtala called Summer Clemenson and said:
I’m in.
At 2:47 pm Summer Clemenson called Karen Gidderon to let her know that all committee members had agreed and also we have set precedence by making a decision via text message.
Karen Gidderon closed this meeting verbally over the phone at 2:48 pm.
