It is time to start thinking about going back to school. I remember shopping with my mom to get new clothes & school supplies. I also remember it got harder to do that after my parents divorced. There are a lot of families that are struggling right now, regardless of the details, but they have not been forgotten by groups like The Salvation Army and The Storehouse.

Living Ministries would like to thank these organizations and the organizations that are collecting resources for them like Red Canoe Credit Union & Fibre Federal Credit Union (there are more but these are the ones I noticed while driving around town yesterday…we want to thank all of you).

If your child is need of clothing or school supplies please contact either The Salvation Army or The Storehouse and they will be glad to help you. The Salvation Army will begin setting up appointments for families to come in on August 18, 2011. The Storehouse is able to give what they have as they have it; any leftovers will be delivered to Barnes Elementary School in Kelso, WA.

Update: The Storehouse contacted us and let us know that they were able to help 73 families with school supplies! Thank you!

If you are able to help with donations please contact these organizations. They can make arrangements for pickups or drop-offs. The Storehouse does not have the resources to pick up donations, but you can find out where and when to bring them.
